Tetrahydrokanabihexol (THCH / THC-C6) · Sales discontinued in CZ
THCH, full name tetrahydrocannabihexol (THC-C6), is a THC analog with a six-carbon side chain. It belongs to the same family of THC homologs as THCP, but with a chain shorter by one carbon.
THCH is a psychoactive cannabinoid classified among prohibited substances by the amendment to Act No. 167/1998 Coll. Sale and distribution for human consumption are punishable in the CZ since 2025. Tato stránka slouží pouze jako informační zdroj a v naší nabídce THCH aktuálně nenajdete.
THCH is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid that occurs in natural cannabis only in trace amounts. Structurally it lies between classical Δ9-THC (five-carbon chain) and THCP (seven-carbon chain). The six-carbon alkyl side chain increases affinity for the CB1 receptor, according to available in-vitro data approximately 8–10× compared to Δ9-THC, but significantly less than THCP. Commercially available THCH was produced semi-synthetically from CBD via a multi-step reaction, because isolation from natural cannabis would be economically unfeasible.
In Europe THCH appeared in 2023–2024 in oils, vape pens, gummies and enriched cannabis flowers, often combined with THCP, HHCP or H4CBD as part of 'blends'. The price of THCH products was high due to complex synthesis and low yield. After the regulatory wave it withdrew from the legal market practically completely.
Users describe THCH effects as strongly psychoactive, between Δ9-THC and THCP. Typical is rapid onset after inhalation (5–15 minutes), strong euphoria, sedative component and deep relaxation. Duration ranges between 4 and 6 hours, longer orally. Risks include tachycardia, paranoid states at higher doses, dry mouth, red eyes and acute intoxication in inexperienced users. Clinical THCH studies in humans have not yet been published and all available data come from anecdotal experiences. As with all semi-synthetic cannabinoids, the content of residual precursors and solvents from production was a significant concern.
In the Czech Republic THCH has been classified, as of 2025, among prohibited psychoactive cannabinoids by the amendment to Act No. 167/1998 Coll. Distribution, sale and possession for the purpose of distribution are an offense of unauthorized production and other handling of narcotic and psychotropic substances. THCH has the same status in France, Belgium, Austria, Germany and most EU countries. Before traveling with samples for research purposes we recommend verifying current foreign legislation. CBDsvět.cz does not sell THCH.
