What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound classified among substances known as cannabinoids, found only in hemp plants. It is the second most important compound after THC. It does not directly stimulate cannabinoid receptors, has no intoxicating effects, and may reduce some of the unwanted side effects caused by THC, such as short-term memory loss or anxiety. The therapeutic potential of CBD has been overlooked in the past. However, recent research reveals its pharmacological effects to be quite interesting. Five drops of 10% oil provide 25mg of CBD. The optimal daily dosage generally ranges between 20-40 mg, depending on weight, metabolism rate, and reason for use (a smaller dose is sufficient for preventive use, while a larger dose is recommended for inflammation or illness).

The time of day you choose for consumption is up to you. It can be taken in the morning, during the day, or in the evening. However, since it is a natural extract from hemp, it contains a minimal amount of THC, either <0.2% or <1% THC, so we recommend not driving or operating machinery for at least 8 hours after using CBD oil. Our recommendation is to take CBD oil an hour before bedtime.
