Mitragyna speciosa (commonly known as kratom) is a tropical evergreen tree that can grow up to 30 meters high with a trunk diameter of up to 1 meter, native to Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Papua New Guinea), where it has been traditionally used for its properties.
In general, red kratom is calming, effectively alleviating pain and providing overall sedation. Green kratom is more stimulating than red, with longer-lasting effects, offering mental clarity and enhanced endurance, making it popular among athletes and those engaged in physically demanding work. Some users report it helps them manage anxiety and depression. White kratom provides energy and elevates mood, making it the most stimulating. Brown and Golden kratom do not refer to the color of the leaf veins but rather to the drying technique. In terms of effects, brown kratom falls between white and green, while golden kratom is between green and red. Most types of kratom can induce a mild euphoria.
Golden kratom has a slightly sedative effect, making it suitable for beginner collectors.
